Additional application information
Please note that applications will not be considered for tuition, housing or other fixed costs for attending the university. Unfortunately, individual club/team dues or the costs associated with study abroad opportunities are currently beyond the scope of this program. Proposals that engage multiple ESMA students, especially in activities that include community-building or educational components, are strongly encouraged. Successful proposals requesting support for individual students usually involve an equine-related outreach effort or educational opportunity.
Students may be reimbursed for expenses or Equine Programs may cover a cost or pay an invoice on behalf of the student. All payouts for awards will need to be coordinated with UK Ag Equine Programs Business Officer PRIOR to encumbering expenses. Direct payments will not be made to individual students or groups as it could affect overall financial aid. Reimbursements are subject to review by the University Financial Office compliance team. Individual student awardees must be in good academic standing. A short report on the result(s) of the funding and how it met the goals listed in the application will be requested from awardees to be submitted by December 19, 2025.
